242.0.0 #
The following changes are included in this release (242.0.0):
- A new Search Capability has been released. You can now search any chart feature (a city, a lighthouse, a beacon) or your waypoints and center the chart around the searched feature. See https://www.maptattoo.com/doc/search-features/
- The feature info box has been enriched. Objects sharing the same location are now grouped for better readability (example: a light and its lighthouse landmark, a buoy with its top mark and fog signal). Additionally, lights, beacons, buoys and fog signals now have an abbreviation which limits the need to access the list of parameters and reduces the number of clicks required to access essential information. See https://www.maptattoo.com/doc/getting-started/#5-toc-title
- You can now set-up units for Speed, Soundings/Clearances, Distances and Magnetic/True heading. See https://www.maptattoo.com/doc/adjusting-maptattoo-settings/
- Menu entries can now be selected by touching them in addition to using the directional keypad. See https://www.maptattoo.com/doc/getting-started/#6-toc-title
- Tide/Current preferences are now persistent when you turn MAPTATTOO off.
- The User Experience for the Tide and Current widgets has been enhanced and now includes a graphical representation of the tide and current.
- Miscellaneous stability and performance issues were addressed
Note that some of these features (search and abbreviated names) require updated charts to be loaded on MAPTATTOO (see documentation https://www.maptattoo.com/doc/installing-new-charts/). Upload the latest ones from your account page (https://www.maptattoo.com/my-account/downloads/).
